Taumata Arowai is the new water services regulator for New Zealand. With a current focus on drinking water quality, Taumata Arowai has introduced new regulatory rules and standards that come into effect on 14 November 2022, replacing 30 years of previous legislation and oversight.
We’ll make sure you understand the new drinking water standards and rules, have a plan in place and are set to meet your legal requirements.
He has worked as a Health Protection Officer, Drinking Water Assessor (DWA), IANZ Technical Expert, Water Sanitation and Hygiene Specialist, as well as a consultant. He is one of the founding members of the Water Industry Operations Group and is also a member of Water New Zealand. Water quality & water compliance has always been at the core of his professional interests.
